New interpretation of previous images

Yesterday, I was at the exhibition of Sebastiao Salgado in Paris. Too many people queueing up in front of the entrance of "La Maison Européenne de la Photographie". The rain helped a little bit to discourage some. So I waited almost 45 minutes to get in. But it was worth the wait ! I was so impressed by some nature and landscape pictures : the black and white choice emphasized the drama and the textures of the scenes. Moreover the loss of the colour reduces sometimes the understanding of the viewer at the first glance. Then it makes the viewer dive deeper in the image.

Today, another rainy day in Paris area. Overcast and grey sky, a rather dark day for the end of September. So I decided to post-process once more some photographs taken 3 years ago in Yellowstone National Park. I like the colour views of the canyon. But the prints were not really convincing, lacking some relief. Let see if they could be more interesting in black and white.

Wildlife near Versailles

Sometimes, it's not necessary to travel far away to see some nice wildlife scenes. These 2 photographs were taken near Versailles.
